Managerial Positions

General Managers & Assistant General Managers: Previous general management experience is required. Areas of supervision include Food & Beverage, Retail Sales, and Lodging. Other responsibilities include guest services, personnel development; P&L management, cost controls, cash management procedures, inventory control, financial reporting, loss & safety and natural resources management. A spirit of hospitality is a must. Areas managed are Grant Grove and Cedar Grove in Kings Canyon National Park, and Stony Creek in Giant Sequoia National Monument.

Restaurant Managers: Previous restaurant management experience required. Areas of responsibilities include the complete restaurant operation, safety and sanitation skills, guest service, inventory control, ordering, reporting, menu planning, scheduling, and personnel development. Applicant should have the ability to train staff in all restaurant positions, cook and prepare food, and perform cash management procedures for a food and beverage operation. Areas of management include a family style restaurant, pizza parlor operation and espresso bar.

Retail Managers and Assistants: Retail experience required to supervise a gift shop, or one of the grocery markets. Responsible for guest service, retail sales, ordering, inventory control, daily cash reports, scheduling, training and supervising employees.

Front Desk - Lead: Previous experience is required. This position is responsible for hospitality of guest services, supervises and trains front desk staff, manages group reservations, extensive telephone work, room and activity sales, room registrations, scheduling, cash handling, and reports. Requires computer experience and extensive communication skills.

Housekeeping Supervisor: Supervisory experience is required. This position is responsible for the cleanliness of guest accommodations, and grounds, scheduling, training and supervising staff, weekly inventory and ordering of supplies and linen.

Food and Beverage Positions

Exec Chef: Must have experience. Responsibilities: Supervise and schedule kitchen staff, food ordering, preparation and presentation in restaurant, ability to create menus and recipes for daily specials, maintain implementation of safety and sanitation standards.

Sous Chef: Assist Exec Chef to supervise the kitchen staff, ordering, food preparation and presentation, ability to help create menus and recipes, maintain and exercise safety and sanitation standards

Line Cook: Must have cooking experience in a restaurant. Responsibilities: food preparation and presentation in restaurant, ability to create specials, maintain and exercise safety and sanitation standards.

Prep Cook: Experience is required. Responsible for preparing food under the direction of the lead cook and is required to maintain safety and exercise sanitation standards.

Pizza Cook: Experience with making pizza. Responsible for preparing food under the direction of the lead cook and is required to maintain safety and exercise sanitation standards.

Wait staff: Responsible for providing prompt, professional food service, completing side work, operating a cash register and maintain safety and sanitary standards.

Busser/Dishwasher: Responsible for bussing tables, operating dish washing machine, cleaning the kitchen, and maintaining safety and sanitary standards.

Barista: Responsible for providing quality service at the espresso bar, operating cash register and maintain safety and sanitary standards.

Pizza Counter: Duties include taking orders, operating a cash register, cleaning and bussing tables, assist cook as needed and maintain safety and sanitary standards.

Retail Department Positions

There is a gift shop at Grant Grove and grocery markets at each location.

Retail Sales Clerk: Responsible for excellent customer service, retail sales, cash handling, stocking, and the ability to learn product information. This position involves varying shifts, long periods of walking, standing and some heavy lifting.

Lodging Department Positions

The Kings RiverFront Desk Clerk: Responsible for room registration, booking reservations for guest and providing park information, extensive telephone work and contact with the public, strong communication skills and computer experience are required. Requires long periods of standing.

Night Auditor: Graveyard shift required. Provides room registration and information, answers telephones, prepares daily reports, handles cash, must be able to work independently, and follow emergency procedures. Computer skills required.

Housekeeping Staff: Cleans and maintains guest rooms for occupancy, performs other housekeeping duties. Lifting and bending required. Some evening shifts required.

Groundskeeping Staff: Cleans and maintains grounds, public restrooms & shower house, performs other housekeeping/groundskeeping duties as needed. Lifting and bending required.

Maintenance Positions

General Engineering: Professional experience in all aspects of building maintenance is needed. Duties will include but not limited to repairs or maintenance to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, & refrigeration. Heavy lifting required. Must have a valid driver's license, and proper work shoes are required. Maintenance positions may require the ability to obtain a Class A or other commercial operator's license.

Seasonal Maintenance Laborers: Duties are same as above and some knowledge is required. Frequent heavy lifting, proper work shoes, and must have a valid driver's license.

Administrative Positions

Administrative Clerk: Administrative experience required. Must have good telephone skills, must be computer literate, and be able to perform with little direction. Basic office skills and experience is necessary. Will assist in HR, drug screening, accounting operations, cash handling, and completing daily reports.
